Fishtail Mani

This is another mani that I'm late with posting (again I post my manicures to Instagram faster than posting them on here). I absolutely love love love this design. For my base color I used Essie - Lights. It's an awesome hot neon pink. For the fishtail part I used Essie - Fear or Desire (I'm not a huge fan of orange nail polish but I love this one) and Essie - Shorty Pants which is a great bright yellow.

Caviar Mani

I know I'm so late with these manicures but I haven't had the time to post. I posted these pictures to Instagram just because it's so much quicker than writing a post. This is the Caviar Manicure I did a while ago. I painted my nails with Orly - Frisky (one of my absolute favorite summer time blue's). I bought the microbeads from Michael's craft store. They're the Recollections brand. I got a pack of 6 for I forgot how much but it was so cheap. The color beads I used were Capri. I was not spending all of that money on Ciate brand microbeads and a nail polish, sorry! Definitely not worth the money in my opinion.

Essie - Play Date

I don't have much to say in this post except that this is my absolute favorite purple! Seriously it's unlike any other purple I have it & when I wore this I got so many compliments on it. Awesome formula, awesome color.

Khloe Kardashian Inspired Mani

So Khloe Kardashian uploaded a picture to her Instagram recently of her manicure. So simple, but so fabulous at the same time. I'm not a huge fan of the Kardashian's but I do get suckered into looking at pictures they upload on Instagram, not gonna lie. This is the picture Khloe uploaded
For my mani I wanted to use a polish I haven't used before that I had recently bought. I used Essie - Knockout Pout which I will definitely be using a lot more of next summer. I used Sinful Colors - Black on Black and a Kiss nail art polish in silver.
I took this picture with my phone but honestly I think my cellphone takes better pictures with my camera. What kind of camera do you guys use to take pictures of your nails? I'm looking to get a new one & I have no clue what camera to get! I also just used my Lush Lemony Flutter on my cuticles which is why they look so oily lol.

Maybelline Color Show - Shocking Seas

This is one of the first Color Show nail polishes I bought. I'm really glad that drug store nail polishes are expanding their collections & adding so many colors. Blue is always my favorite nail color so whenever I see a new one I have to pick it up. Unfortunately this blue was nothing special to me.

Overall, I'm not a huge fan of the formulas for this line. I don't hate it enough to stop purchasing colors though. I will have a post up soon showing a swatch for one of the colors from the "Denim" collection which I liked the formula a lot more.

First Finger Paints Polish

So I recently went to Vegas & while I was there I saw a Sally's & had to stop there to check out what they had. Only a real nail polish addict would make a stop at Sally's while in Vegas  lol. I don't have a Sally's near my house so whenever I find one I get excited. I bought my first Finger Paints polish there & I love it. I did a simple mani with an accent nail. I will always love doing a plain manicure with an accent nail. I used Essie's To Buy or Not to Buy which has a gorgeous shimmer in the bottle but unfortunately doesn't show up when you put it on & Finger Paints in Purple Palette. I used about 4 coats of Purple Palette to get it opaque.

I'm Back! & Hunger Games!

It's been so long since my last post! I've been so busy with graduation and work I haven't had the chance to blog :( Hopefully this time I'm back for good. Over the summer I read the Hunger Games & I quickly became obsessed. I LOVED the books. When the movie came out I was so excited but so disappointed. The book was 100 times better than the movie! One of the characters in the Hunger Games is Effie Trinket. In the movie she had such elaborate nail designs. During "the Reaping" I got a good look at her nails & tried to do it on myself.

It was so hard to get a good picture with my camera. I used Color Club in Hot Like Lava as my base coat and Wet n Wild Chrome in A Show at the Palladium on the tips. I love both of these colors. I used a make up sponge to apply the gold on the tips. Hope you guys liked it!

*Follow me on Instagram for more of my nail photos. I tend to upload pictures on to there more often since it's just easier and faster! @roeguns :)
