Wet n Wild Megalast Spring 2012 Collection

First I need to start with I'm almost at 100 followers. When I first started this blog I never thought I would have any followers at all. It makes me so happy that I have 83 now! When I get to 100 followers I will be having a giveaway as a way to say thank you to all of you who continue to come to my blog and read my posts! You're all amazing :)

I stopped at Walgreens over the weekend & they had a sale on Wet n Wild products. I've been looking every where for these colors after I saw them on someone's blog. They so pretty & so affordable. The sale was buy 2 get 1 free & the polishes are only $1.99. The 3 colors I bought were I Need a Refresh-Mint, Tropicalia, and On a Trip. For all of the colors I put a picture of it in direct sunlight and one inside in the shade to show the differences, except for On a Trip that one was coming out exactly the same.

I'll start with my absolute favorite one out of the tree: I Need a Refresh-Mint. I'm so obsessed with these mint green colors. I have so many of them & I still can't get enough of them. The consistency was perfect. It was opaque in one coat. In the pictures it was coming out a little more blue than green. I've heard people say this color is extremely similar to Essie's Mint Candy Apple & L'Oreal's Club Prive. If anyone wants me to do swatches of them together to see how similar they are, let me know!

Tropicalia is a gorgeous bright pink perfect for summer. This also went on great, opaque in one coat. This color is nothing special/unique but it's still so pretty.

On a Trip is a beautiful bright purple. This one needed 2 coats to be opaque, it was a little sheer on the first coat. Again, this one isn't special/unique either but it's still so pretty.

The only thing I seriously do not like about these polishes is the new brush. I absolutely hate it! It's way to wide and thick for my liking. I really need to get used to it. I hate that a lot of nail polish brands are changing their brushes and making them wider. I have small nails and I don't like the idea of 'one swipe & you're done'.. Even though I have small nails & it should work I don't like it. I have to be super careful when I paint my edges. I don't like clean up so I try to do it as precise as I can. In all of my pictures that's how I just paint my nail, there's no clean up. But I do think if you see these polishes you should definitely buy them!

  1. That sucks that you don't like the brushes. :( I totally love how wide they are. But I do have pretty big finger nails. I LOVE their new color line as well. Yay for getting them on sale. I wanted to get more when I was at Walgreens as well but my hubs cut me off. I had already purchased about 10 other polishes last week. ;)
